Iran: Two artists arrested, released on bail

Security forces arrested poet and actor Raouf Delfi and actor Sayed Hasan Mousavi (also known as Sayed Blood) in Abadan, in western Iran, on 13 December 2016. At the time of arrest the location of their detention was unknown, as well as their charges, reported PEN International on 22 December 2016.

The organization reported on 29 December 2016 that both artists were released on bail.

According to a source close to the artists who spoke to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, the artists are involved in publishing “artistic and critical activity” online.
